A thousand corners to discover
The Pilgrims’ Route to Santiago – the pilgrims’ route par excellence – passes through Pamplona on its way from Roncesvalles, if one follows the French route. Travellers here tend to make a stop on the route to admire the different corners of the historic old quarter.
The Way of St. James – as it is also known - enters the city via the Magdalena Bridge and passes through the walls at the entrance known as "El Portal de Francia". From there it winds through the historic old quarter of the city, where there is a certain medieval atmosphere that is very typical of the route.
